The Wombat has posted some brilliant pictures of Dunlop in Leicester, and the only reason I joined was to say thank you "The Wombat" My mum used to work as the Supervisor of the cleaning staff and when I was little on a Saturday I would go into work with her. My favourite room was of course the Boardroom and I would "dust" the great big table in there. Great memories

Your welcome :)
Nice to know its appreciated.

That was a few years back now.
Can't say they're my best photos; I'd like to think I could do better now!
I remember the place well, its quite big. I heard someone revisited recently, so I think its still there.

Hope you enjoy the forum; there's plenty of other interesting stuff on here.

Yes I've taken a trip dowm memory lane. There used to be at the entrance for the workforce a small office for the Security men when it was still in operation. The head security man always had a black uniform with brass buttons, and a row of ribbons (military??) on his breast pocket, I always remember how shiny his shoes were!! He was a lovely man!!
As I no longer live in the UK, its great to know you guys are making history from history.
We always critcise our own work, your pics are great.

Stay safe and keep up the great work.
