Mockingbirds Adventure With Catmandoo
This will be the last for me for awhile, I have plenty more to upload when the time is right, also this is the last explore of the adventure with Catmandoo as the rest are not report worthy, basically a mixed bag of okay shots that some may find boring, so this is the last place, I shall upload off the adventure.
After visiting the unfinished lodge, we headed here after I told Catmandoo about it, Thanks Cunningplan!!!
So Catmandoo whipped out maps and began pinpointing where to be and where this place was, after a few moments of him drumming the steering wheel and beat-boxing, while the fiancee was asleep in the back we arrived sidenote - Catmandoo would rather use a map than a sat nav.
Some nice treasures lay await outside to be snapped up, but not allowed on the forum sorry.
We soon ventured inside, after seeing what I was up against, Catmandoo had a nose and decided to photograph the outside more, the fiancee didn't go to far inside either, leaving me on my own to venture
up broken stairs along none existent floors, it was like stepping stones, just with a nasty fall instead of getting your feet wet. I began snapping away instantly, taking in the feel of the place and what remained, seeing a few rats didn't bother me as they ran away under the amount of stuff on the floors but shouting down to the fiancee "saw a rat" soon made her itch closer to the door, as I heard her move about.
Venturing into one room Catmandoo was still outside taking snaps, I looked out the window and he tells me not to move - (slightly tricky with breaking floors) the floors below me began to crack and snap, the wardrobe in the room then slipped further to the floor below and all Catmandoo said was "that dont sound good" I was thinking the same and made a hasty retreat out the room.
Going back downstairs seemed more dangerous than going up, but tonnes of fun, before I went outside I had another quick look around the downstairs and then I saw behind a door a bookcase, next to that on the ledge was a book ive read a few times "The Bridge Of San Luis Rey - Thornton Wilder" and I then felt very connected to the place, anyone ever come across something they own in an abandoned place???
I then rejoined the fiancee and Catmandoo outside and began snapping away the outside, Catmandoo then pointed out the trees had grown around the treasures at the front of the house, so this place looked to be abandoned for a good 25 years plus. As we left we noticed the gate where the drive to the house would of been, I felt sad leaving the house but rather glad I saw it all the same especially the book.
Enjoy!
