It's been a while since I've been able to get out exploring so it was nice to finally get back out with a visit to this old knitwear factory.

Only a small place but packed full of stuff, I have no idea of the history of the place but judging by the calendar on the wall in the office it closed in 1994 and it doesn't look to have too many visitors since then.

Good stuff. I haven't seen one of those cigarette voucher for donkeys years. They were a hugely successful innovation of the 1960s, but I think they stopped in the 1970s due to growing pressure to restrict tobacco advertising. I remember my mum always smoked players no. 6 and collected the vouchers. Like green shield stamps, when you had enough vouchers you could exchange them for something special (ie crap) from their gift catalogue. Happy times.
