Lost_In_Normandy, I've been going to Normandy for D-Day the past five years and this year I have the privilege of going with the NVA. Have you ever been and will you be going this year? I'm kayaking and running 110 miles to Arromanche this year in 1.5 days.

Yes, had the pleasure of a weeks holiday there with my very understanding wife looking at all the sights, it's intensily moving. When you see the devasation at Pointe Du Hoc it's hard to imagine the sounds and violence of that day, and what the Rangers went through. Would love to go back and see more inland too.

Just finished EB Sledge's book "With the old Breed", it was the basis for HBO's The Pacific and it's a very powerful and moving read.

I like the HDR. Very computer game like. Brings the room to life. I know some peeps hate it LOL.
