Lallian's Flour Mill, Birmingham June '11

Next up on the Birmingham tourist trail was Lallian's, a site I'd wanted to see since it was first posted and it didn't disappoint with it's nicely decayed feel and dodgy floors!

Every man and his dog has visited this lately so I'll just get right into the photos

yes some very dodgey floors. still think i can get the lorry started though.

and the alu shutter seems to be lifted more and more everytime i pass.

note. the company accross the road from here train one of their cctvs on the yard of the mill and one of the jobsworths who acts as security takes it upon himself to call the local constabulary when he happens to be viewing the screen and someone goes in. i took some photos of the old telegraph insulators in the yard for a friend who into that sort of thing and he came trotting across the road and told me. weather it was a false warning or not i leave upto you but i have had 'previous' here and full account is on here under urban stories or similar.

Cheers, I loved it here the decay is right up my street.

Interesting to note about the CCTV, we had no issues and spent a long time dicking about on the roof, I was worried somebody driving or walking past below would get worried and phone the police after seeing us standing on the edge of the roof, although neither of us could quite rustle up the balls to hang both legs over the edge!

yeah ive been on the roof, its higher than you think... well it is when your up there. (likewise my legs) and whats that big rusty yellow feeder/funnel thing on the end still doing in place ? and did you add your names on the dusty glass panel door ?

one of my fav buildings. great stuff
