More of my images taken from 2005
A former filling station that closed due to Normandy Way in St Budeaux becoming a normal residential street, it used to be the main road into saltash before the A38 opened.
It was all sorts of car dealers, LEX Vauxhall was the last big one that I remember, with places like YES Car Credit, and finally Car Credit UK, closing sometime in 2005 - There was planning permission put in to pull the place down, and build houses, but that was turned down, the garage stood empty for a while, with no clues showing it was To Let or For Sale, however the chavs then got in and smashed the place apart, with several fires a week the place was finally bought by Cavanna Homes, they aim to build 17 homes on this plot, by Spring 2008........ At the moment its still just an empty site
The site was fully open, I walked around with my tripod and was stopped by severel people asking what I was doing, and if I knew who owned it etc
Whats this..... oh yeah from the fire below... and I am standing on it...
Not a nice place to be, all dirty and burnt out
Shame about the flat upstairs
