Lillesden School for Girls - July 2012

Lillesden School for Girls occupies what used to be the Lillesden Estate Mansion, built at the estate (south of Hawkhurst) by the banker Edward Loyd, who co-founded the Loyd Entwistle & Co bank, which later became the District Bank and ultimately the National Westminster (Natwest). Loyd had Lillesden Mansion built after he married Caroline Louisa Foster on the 12th March 1846 at Ashton-on-Mersey. He bought the Lillesden estate at Hawkhurst, Kent in 1853 and built the mansion, finished in 1855.

Didn't really take too many internal shots as my lens isn't wide enough on a cropped sensor so opted for mess around approach with gas mask and suit.

Your urbex bee?

I think it's excellent to explore in a mask or fancy dress, security just don't seem to get it.

I must start using mine........

I drive past this place every week at the moment, itching to get inside it and have a wander myself. Always love to see peoples reports too, makes me wanna get in there even more!

Just put the handbrake on chap
