I had gone here initially to have a look at the building next door but had no joy with that! But then I spotted this place and got all ninja again; I got some great shots and was happy until I got home to find waterdrops had blurred every shot (It was raining a little)
So I returned today during better weather; I have no idea of the history of this place, it is set back from the waterfront and has no signs or strewn paper work to state its' identity. But I loved what I saw, especially the overhead cranes and set to getting these shots:

Buffers for assembly lines?

Interesting that and good shots but I wonder what was produced here? The buffers could be they had their own railhead for loading wagons or it could be a stop for the crane.

Stop end for the old rail head originally constructed in pre Nationalisation days. When I was in L'pool in the very early 60's this place was a warehouse for a time I think. I base this on an old plan of the rail network in the docks and on river frontage that I acquired many years ago.
