I had no idea that this place was there, Sifting through various blogs brought myself and Sui to Northwich just as the sun was setting.
After spending at least an hour in this place we spotted a lone IR camera inside the building, Hidden behind some piping it was concealed very well, No one was watching it today.

We left in complete darkness with no hold up but many of the shots taken were aided with torch light...

Bowman Thompson & Company originally owned the site but was sold in 1900 to Brunner Mond whom with a seven year closure reconstructed the site producing sixty tonnes of soda ash a day. This figure rose to 800 tonnes a day in 1926 with all of the Brunner Mond assets being turned over to ICI.

Lostock a coal fired powerstation was decommissioned in 2000 when E.ON built there new Combined Heat & Power plant at Winnington, Lostock is due to be flattened for a new Sustainable Energy Plant to be built on the site.

My first Powerstation. Thanks for Looking, Gone...

Just a quick warning. This is still private property and is full of security cameras. I work for a copmany that is contracted to them and they are very cautious about tresspasasers. The disused second half of winnington works is not so bad but especially as the Lostock power stationside is due for demolition for part of the new Energy From Waste Plant, be cautious as you may be seen as protesters. Ineos Enterprises and Brunner Mond will not look good upon this.

Good looking place, looks a fair size as well. Do you know what the output of the power station was?

Cheers for the comments, I have no idea of the output that the power station was giving out.
