Low Hall Mill, Holbeck. Leeds
On a snowy, gloomy evening Ultrix and I ventured out into the unknown hoping to find somewhere suitably exciting to explore after a recent urbex drought. After debating where to go I suggested we try an old mill in Holbeck which I had recced on an earlier expedition.
When we arrived we were greeted by an eerie, rustic looking mill which was surrounded by a 24 hour car repair garage and situated just off a main road.
After a breif exploration of the outside we realised that the sooner we made access the better due to the public presence next door.
Once we were inside we were met by a gamers mecca; the walls were lined with vintage arcade machines, jukeboxes and arcade memorabilia. The machines seemed as though they were untouched by the hands of time which was a gross comparison to the building they inhabited.
I really enjoyed the whole evening but I have to say my find of the night was a 1970's cocktail table featuring a game called "Moon Attack". Although the table had seen better days it added to the whole ambience of the evening and really topped a great night off.
After a few hours of photography in this interesting site we heard a banging downstairs and figured it was probably best to call it a day.
One of my favorite explores to date, and it was great suprise to find such a gem. Glad to see Ultrix back in action, hopefully next time will be just as eventfull!
