After failing to find a way in to another building, I came across this place!
It is next door to Mossley Rubber Works – a place I photographed and featured last year. It’s not far from Mancunian Way on an old industrial estate in Manchester.
When I did that shoot, this place was still a live site. Not any more, the roof is totally gone from most of the site and lots of debris is lying around.
I did a night shoot primarily and then returned the following day to hold a photo shoot for a musician friend.
The shots I got of him were well received but not appropriate for here, the two big pipes were really the centrepiece of the site.
The main premises’ appears to be a plastics and colouring works as far as I could tell. Can anyone else shed light on it? It is unlikely to still be standing.
There were tracks leading into this shed.
We are here for your destruction!
Ha ha!
A mini weighbridge!
I aimed my flash gun into the pipe to get this effect, and yes – hrd’d but it needed enhancing. The blue effect is a clash of white balances.
