i went out with some friends the other day to take some pictures. we ended up here, there are no fancy shots or anything as i was the only one with the camera so the others were rushing me around.
i posted this on my local forum and somebody who lives nearby said:
the following 'report' is copied and pasted from the one i posted on my local forum. it is not the best of reports but i hope you like it anyway. if i had more time i would of made a better report.
here you go....

i visited this place first in 2009. it was in pretty bad condition back then, but it was savable.
i have visited it every now and again ever since but only just gotten round to taking photos of it. it has gotten worse and worse each time i've gone. its been set on fire multiple times. thankfully the place is so damp that the fires started could not spread and just burnt themselves out.
whoever owns it obviously wants to build new apartments or something on there. i guess the building is listed so its been left to rot. it is now pretty much beyond repair.
such a shame for a lovely building.
the front of it in 2010:

a photo of the rear of it in 2010:
the rear of it in 2012:
i remember when this was a structurally sound wall.
not many windows are intact.
now, onto the inside...
peeling walls...
the first time i went in, this room was in pretty good condition... not any more.
the whole building is a wreck. such a shame!
but with all this land, its not a surprise.
looking up one of the many staircases.
the roof is a bit broken.
and i wouldn't be surprised if the chimney collapses soon.
one of the upstairs rooms.
dangerous floor.
looking out of the doorway to one of the 'balconys'
this is another room that was in good condition when i first visited in 2009
no idea who has done this or why they did it. but its pretty cool.
flywheel for the dumb waiter.
downstairs hall.
vandalised intruder alarm panel.
one of the many arson attempts.
down into the basement...
WARNING: unstable floors!
fin.

I know someone who lives nearby and they had a letter from the council planning dept about 10 days or so ago. I only had a brief look, but it said something about demolishing the later extension - which I'm guessing is the bit on the left - and maybe most of the rest as well (?). Then building flats but keeping the existing facade. This would look pretty good I'd think.
Not sure if this meant plans are imminent. But looking at your photos I don't hold out too much hope.
