My first post so I am bound to get something wrong
I know this has been done a lot but a fab place and if you haven't been, you need to, as things may be about to change.
Taken from local radio station website
Mansfield's old General Hospital site once again takes centre stage at tonight's full council meeting in the town.
The controlling Labour Group are tabling a motion that could see councillors commit to a compulsory purchase of the buildings that have been derelict for twenty years.
Their leader Martin Lee says it shows their commitment to sorting the problem out once and for all.
He told Mansfield 103.2: "We, along with MP Sir Alan Meale, have argued that the way to resolve this is by a compulsory purchase order.
"That is where our focus is and we are going to put the platform in place to make that happen.
"It is going to take a long time and it is the first step on a long road but at least the council are going to be committed to be doing something."

Went in there with 2 non-members, and this is the 2nd time in this year. This was MUCH harder to gain entry.
Although the radio report states 20 years derelict, I believe it went in 1992, as we found 2 newspapers in there with that date.
Anyway, the pics.
Loved these rooms along the corridor, all atmospheric. The decay is immense.

This was a breathtaking room too, plants growing through the floor and all the tiles lifted

I loved this room, we got in there at 5am so that the window twitchers weren't active - the place is ridiculously close to houses! The light was amazing in the morning here
This was a shot from the first visit as the bath had been moved last time
The ground floor was really minging. Wet through and fallen in floors above.
This was the grimmest room, wet through, an inch deep in gunge.
Ah, the chair. seen som many shots of this
Best room in the place
I'm a kind of background scene guy, I need to try and get close-ips for my next report as there are so many. This is my last visit as I think it's just getting harder.
Hope I didn't miss anything - although didn't find the morgue.
