Mansfield General Hospital - October '12

After waking up at 4:45am, myself and Ruby1995 were picked up by prettyvacant71 to meet skankypants and a non-forumer to attempt the second try to get into this place after being busted by a really rude and arrogant security man last Sunday.

We were inside before sunrise, so didn't hesitate with looking around while waiting for the place to get a bit lighter. After being scared by accidentally setting off the PIR system (quite ironic as we were being shown where it was), we quickly headed to the X-ray department. After that, we explored the operating theatres, a ward and then went to the morgue. Skankypants and the non-forumer had to go, so myself and the other 2 had a look about.

We came across the really lovely caretaker security guy as we were leaving - much nicer than the man we met last weekend!

One thing myself, Ruby1995 and prettyvacant71 thought was how unhygienic it was to have the kitchen right beside the morgue, and also how creepy it would be for those living opposite the morgue!

Great images , really like the spooky stairs shot, great job getting in and tally ho for your tenaciousness, we had soo much 8 hrs of fun here, bollocks to the neighbours in your face midday entry and when we came out landed to a crescendo of window banging applause ringing in our ears, massive lools

Thanks very much! Yeah, we were waiting for someone to finish taking photos so we could go to the next floor down. I saw the opportunity for a shot and I'm glad I went for it

We didn't really fancy trying to get in during the day, because the area's fairly busy, so we decided an early morning start, getting in before sunrise and waiting a little bit was a good idea. On the way out, we had one house banging on their windows.

Yeah we had the window bangers going abit crazy on the way out!....is that a new thing for the bored locals to pass the time, as i got in and out back in july and there wasn't any of that....maybe its got abit busy lately

We did indeed, it was just the one house I think, we got off lightly from what I've read of other people's adventures here!

'twas a great mooch - we're planning a return visit at some stage to see the bits we missed out! (I'll message you ).

We got busted the first time we tried, but we didn't give up we've got plans to go again, to see stuff that wasn't seen originally!
