Mines of Loxley, Sheffield

Hi all,
I'm new to this website but came across it while doing a bit of googling.

I grew up in Stannington, Sheffield, and used to venture into Loxley woods almost every day. Just below the Robin Hood pub (now residential property) is a tunnel and an old mine shaft (I think). The tunnel appears to go up under the pub, and we actually crawled up it many moons ago but could only get so far due to rubble.

Does anyone know anything about this tunnel(s) or mine shaft and where they go??? Bringing back good memories of a fun childhood!!
