Today was/is the last day of services for all stations to Moorgate, including Barbican. Opened in 1868, closed in March 2009 as a victim of the Thameslink 2000 project...

Great set of pics. What will happen to the station and line infrastructure?
 
godzilla -> mate your thinking of the great norther electrics which also depart from Moorgate. These are still running AFAIK
 
Was passing Blackfriars today so captured these pics on my mobile. Track lifting is well under way...

Judging by the speed of the track removal I'm guessing that someone has plans for the site :confused:
