Just had a sort through me hard drive and found a few places that are worthy of a mention but probably not a whole report.
1st up. Good old Richborough Power Station, May 2011
The station opened in 1962, originally burning coal from the Kent coalfield. It was converted to burn oil in 1971.In 1989 it was converted to burn Orimulsion imported through Port Richborough. After growing concerns over the environmental effects of the fue, leading to court cases, the 360MW station ceased generating in 1996.
Next up the old mill at Robertsbridge April 2011
Robertsbridge was famous for the manfacture of cricket bats, not sure if this is the place they came from or not. Didn't manage to wangle my way in this one.
Then the old Preston Hall Colony June 2011.
Located to the South of Aylesford, on the A20 London Road, The Royal British Legion Village was founded after the First World War to help injured soldiers on discharge from the nearby Preston Hall hospital. It was first the centre of a small farming community known as The Preston Hall Colony.
When The British Legion was founded in 1921, it became one of the first branches and, by 1925, was known as Royal British Legion Village.
Finally West Park April 2011
Not gonna bother with info on this. Managed to do one wing before getting busted. Not seen a report from here in a while, I wonder if its all gone now.
If you made it this far. Thanks for looking.
