visited this old leather and sheepskin works..built in 1870 by John morland and became on of the finest leather makers in the country.work was switched to jackets and boots in the Second World War.During the sixties business boomed and they employed hundreds of people.in 1984 business was declining and they shut the site and moved to a smaller premises..the site was over two sides of the road.one side was tight the other we went in.to be honest the place is stripped.the top was full of finishing stuff though.buttons galore were up here and other bits and bobs,so I have just done the best with what I had there..
