My First Explore Of West Park Asylum

Sorry to upload a second time but this was my first ever explore and I was lucky enough to obtain some good images! I did a lot of research on this before going and found out that this was the last asylum to have a padded cell in England (Apparently) If so it's long gone now and congratulations to anyone who got to see it!

Great shots, I'm with Flyboys90, pic 4 is like something from a film, although for whatever reason those gas canisters all grouped together give me the creeps far more.

the b/w works really well! i hope thats vimto on that door! i agree a fantastic place, i guess sadly theres not much left by now...i too missed out on gettin in before demo started, (but atleast u don't set of the PIR wen the demo lot are there!) im very jealous of the folks who saw the paddy cells and the electric was on in the cinema for sumtime...im tryin to get into places quicker nowdays cause i missed cane hill too. It seems like they're having a stealth hit on all the asylums cause they are shamefully disappearing quick.

Thank you! yes!! The gas canisters are quite creepy - I think it's because they look as though they are staring back lol

Thanks a lot haha nope 95% is gone or going - saw a part of it about a month ago and they were ripping another part of it down which still had furniture in! Yep all of the asylums are going - I think the NHS want to upgrade hospitals because there is a mental ward near me that is going in 2016 due to refurbishment on another hospital just down the road so they are all selling them to be demolished
