Nash Mills was first opened in the early 1800s as a water powered papermill located adjacent to the Grand Union Canal. By the early 1900s, it was bought by the John Dickinson Stationary Company and expanded. A second phase of expansion took place in 1960. The large machine room, housing 2 continuously operating paper machines was constructed at this time. More recently, the mill was purchased by the South African Paper and Pulp Company (SAPPI). It closed in 2006 with production being moved to Egypt.

Ooh, Batchelors soup selection pack!

Looks like a big place, I like it! Nice one.

I used to live in Hemel, kept seeing this site from the outside, good to finally see what went on inside.

Nice big interior. Shame the rollers and stuff aren't still there. THAT would have been something. Nice find, good photo's!

wow! i live in hemel! so there are explorers in hemel haha! nice explore and cool shots!

I grew up in Hemel, always wanted to see inside there. I must have a look for myself one day. I'm now 90 miles north though so a special trip is required.

UPDATE: This site is not accessible, went down two nights ago, they have security on site and the whole site now has a 3 metre fence around it, we did try to access from the canal side, but again no luck, the main buldings are still standing.
