Natwest Bank, Cardiff Bay 2011

The old natwest bank in cardiff bay has partly been converted to offices, So there is a security chap at reception, however he allowed me to take pics when I was working there. The ground floor & basement are often used as locations in TV programs such as Doctor Who & Upstairs Downstairs & I managed to get these photos after filming

The Main hall still has the original counter. The basement where the main vaults has in the past been used as a rave venue called 'the ***** bar' but there are about 4 vaults & 3 caged areas that are in great condition.

Site is still there, although the owner charges for use. The guard is 1 of those guys that either likes you & will show you around or tells you to get lost. Best way is to say you're students & heard of place for location, ask if you can have a sneak look. He'll be with you but will allow you to take pics.

As with every profession you have arseholes and good guys. Nice to see you found one of the decent types on this explore, and whilst few and far between they do exist in the Security world (this I know from family 'doing the job')
