Back in 2002 I arrived in Birmingham for the first time to pursue my degree in photography. Whilst in my 1st year I got to know my surroundings and between lectures and sobering up, I managed to photograph some stuff.

A few of which, I found in a drawer today.

All are in film, back when digital cameras cost a small fortune for 3 mega pixels!

I think this is now a recruitment office (ground floor), to the left out of picture is the Direct Line head office in Snow Hill.

One of the old flats a day away from demo, down near Fiveways train station (now replaced with new flats)...

A camper van (I think this was in Aston) after a fire with an old police van in the background (note the big cone light on the roof)...

The Bullring before being completed (the Rotunda had yet to be gutted at this stage)...

I like this kind of thing, the thens and the nows...and my first digi camera was a 1999 Mustek that was about hallf a mill megapixels, but it really did a good job in its day..wish I still had it!

Excellent documentation there, but thinking of 2002 as old makes me feel really old. :)
