Just a quick one pic report here.Came across this little place whilst strolling along the Banks of The River Tay at Dunkeld. There's nothing inside, I'm guessing it was used as a shelter for the fisherman as the stretch of water it sits on is a great fishing area and there are always one or two boats out on the river.

Very good Foxy I love Tolkien and have got all the Lord of the rings films and the extended versions!. The house is very cute and I could Definetly see Bilbo coming out of the door on his quest.

Who ever built it certainly knew how to lay stone work as its now as easy as it looks. Lovely little place though some thought gone into it.

It looks to me as if it might be relatively recent.

Yeah kind of looks like the entrance has had the arch re-pointed in cement recently. But i would imagine it is well dated due to the work involved in the construction, and being built into the hillside. I like it.:)
