The same day as investigation Ebridge Mill, Mimble kindly took me through a hole in a bush (if any of you are into in-your-end-o's as much as I am, I hope that amused you), and into an abandoned wire factory with house in it's garden.

I remember visiting that place a few years ago with Black Shuck although I didn't realise that it used to be an old wire factory.

Mericks wire ropes.It was still trading around 1990,I visted for my firm.Very much a family firm.
Closed shortly after,another way of life gone.
