Location
Sheffield
Colliery Marshalling Yard.

Found this on the way back from the seaside, so I only had my Samsung S5 on 20% battery! Not my DSLR
Not really sure about the history sorry for the lack of knowledge,

I will post the location of this at the end to see if anybody can shed some light for me.

You may get mixed reviews about posting the location although it's not like a sensitive house or anything. Interesting stuff indeed, thanks for the share.

Thats what I was thinking Bones there isn't any fencing around the place so its not really hiding from the public, I wouldn't be saying anything if it was hard to access or or like you said a sensitive house with stuff to be trashed!

Neither a steelworks or recycling plant. They've cleared the area a couple of times but it's not really been used since it was the colliery marshalling yard.

Thanks Druid don't suppose you have any history on the place?

Not really. I've been driving past it for years as I have family there. As is often the case with things on the doorstep I never paid it much attention.
I'm sure that if you do a websearch for Renishaw Park, Thirbycliffe, Furnace Hill there will be information about the various workings around that area.
