From what I can gather, Pianoforte Supplies Ltd was first built in 1910, closed in 1982 and employed over 1800 people. But not much more information was available. (Thanks Mookster!)

I visited this explore with Mikeymutt. Getting in was quite entertaining to say the least - I think Mikeymutt is the Spiderman of the urbex world!

Thanks for looking,

Don't know where you got 1982 from, that's it's closure date

The factory was first built in 1910 but after a fire in 1933 was constructed to it's current size and shape. It was a massive place employing over 1800 people in it's heyday. After closure 2/3 of the site was used to make car parts until 2012.

I love this place, one of my favourite industrial explores.
