I found this place yesterday on the way home from an afternoon at the NWH Denbigh so thought I would stop and take a look around,

Some parts are very old and most likely victorian, while in other places there have been modernisations and new buildings, I imagine that this sort of Small scale industry was once very common in this area, I saw several other prospective sites in that area.

I did find a sign with the company name, But uselessly I seem to have forgottern It! If I were to guess I would say It appears to be a small foundry or galvanising works of some sort.

The buildings up by the entrance look like they are in use as lockup garages or storage, As I got close I discovered someone had left an alsation there, Either loose or on a long rope, The dog as you can imagine wasnt all that freindly. Lots of running away happened!

Heres a few photos:

Its worth a look if your in the area...

Nice one. The further you get away from the money the more sites there are.

I think I know this place, is it on your right as you are coming downhill, heading towards Chester, set below road level so you look over the roofs from the road higher up?

Yes that sounds right, Its a hard place to miss its right alongside the main road.

I've passed this place occasionally for years, and in fact did so on Tuesday night, on my bike. It looks abandoned at the top but then at the bottom there is an obviously used area. I can see the situation now.

Thanks for the pictures, I always wondered what it was like in there and I'm glad it was you who found the dog and not me. ;)
