Visited here after going to North Wales Hospital. Took us a little while to work out were it was, but got there in the end. We were a little underwhelmed - but that was not suprising considering where we had spent the day.
I'm just going to keep this short and just add some shots that interested me.

On the way out it was getting dark and we bumped into a bat that lives in the cellar. He spent about five minutes flying about our heads, checking us out. I've never really come that close to a bat before. He was pretty cool.

Up on the roof we found lots of broken skylights - why would you break them? What is the point? Maybe some pikey chucked the lead through them. Anyway we amused ourselves by doing some urbex style roofing repairs - well just covering them up with any old thing we could find.

Thanks

Very nicely photographed. Sorry to sound sinister but many property owners and developers 'encourage' decay so that its easier to get permission for demolition. Hopefully Pool Park will get saved before it gets too grim, and well done on your repair work.

Some good shots there!

Me fave is the Uniform pic

Well done for those patch repairs on the roof :)

Hope that all's well with you ol' chap?

good, thanks - we "repaired2 about five holes in that roof.

I'll drop you a PM.

Love the look of this place.

Well done doing the repairs.

Great shots btw :)

I think that's the most static that chair has been for a while! First part of the year it was in three different rooms but it's where we saw it back in the summer if your pic is anything to go by. Amen to what Mr. Bones said, that was what I thought had been going on too. Good on you for the repairs matey! Was there any sign of the security that is now supposed to be on site or has the owner just been paying lip service to his instructions from Denby Council? Good report.

Security? Mate, we had to tunnel in under the watch towers to get to the place:mrgreen:

The hardest thing about this place is trying to locate it, we had no postcode, nothing, just an idea of the town it was in, phone reception died out so we couldnt search on the internet for an adress

it pays to go do your homework. The pikeys had nicked all the lead I noticed though.
