Went for a trip with work to Wissant, beautiful place! I was amazed at the amount of derelict German bunkers around and about there! In Wissant itself, nestled up on a hillside, me and my GF found a beautiful derelict church/house... Not sure, has all the makings of a church so i'll stick it here for now :)

Thanks :) Was a really interesting trip, all sorts of places to explore out there! Must go back one day :D

Cheers guys! After browsing a few more other reports, I apologise for the phone pictures haha! I'm not hugely a photographer, more just an explorer, so phone camera shall do for now haha! :p

Very nicely done, nothing at all wrong with your photographs. As you say, there is an abundance of old German fortifications around Wissant and I will have to dig out some old maps, as I am not sure that this was a church as such. The ivy and undergrowth make identification from period photorecon images impossible as the book images are rather small. From old maps there was a large house and a religious building (monastery/nunnery?) in the immediate area.

You are right it does look like a church, I like images of nature reclaiming old buildings, I thoroughly enjoyed your report and getting such good pics from a camera phone is outstanding, My Thanks.
