Posting images

Hi everyone

I am new to this website and I have noticed when trying to post a report that any images I wish to insert cannot be inserted directly from my comp but have to have a URL.

Where does everyone keep their images on the net? Places such as Flickr? Which place is the best? And how can you control your privacy of who sees your pics etc.
