My apologies I know the site has been done so many times but it seemed like the perfect place for my first Urban Adventure. With a fellow Urbvirgin we had researched the site, the history and access (Not too hard with a site this well covered)
I did managed to dig up a little more info on why Mrs Walford left the house, it would appear that there was a boiler explosion which is evident from the missing floor in the entrance showing a reasonable amount of fire damage. The House itself was everything I had read about and more, however there seems to be even more missing from it now, either that or its been hidden/moved.
Apologies to those that aren't great lovers of HDR this place seemed very HDR friendly to me:

Thanks for looking

Lovely site this; explored it couple of months back. It's got something for everyone I would say. I took a number of HDR shots while I was there and I was really pleased with them. Yours look great; nice job. The weirdest thing in there is that there's only one piece of graf in the whole place (the liar thing), at least there was when we went. I guess it's kind of out of the way a bit so not too chav friendly.

I must be brutally honest here and say I dont like the HDR at all but I actually like the different angles you have presented..the first one I havent seen this "item" before so well done for originality ok..as for the boiler explosion revelation,I must look into that one..new one to me.

I completely agree, its almost as if the "Liar" was put up by the owner as its been there a while (I am sure it isn't). It was a rather packed explore too, we were confronted by a landrover driver (Mentioned in someone elses report) and I am pretty sure there were another set of urbexers trying to look for a place to park so if any of you drove past a silver BM in your nissan pop me a PM I would love to know how you got on or indeed if you got in.
I had planned to go in a feew weeks ago but family emergency's prevented me getting there before the staircase was wrecked, I have to say if you are in the minority and haven't been get there and sooner the better. I hope to get back again as I always had one thought on someone finding us (It was my first UE)

What day did you go? I was there with a couple of people and 3 people turned up as we left. Was that you?

No we were just leaving when the nissan showed up they had to stop for a farmers landrover stuck across the road.... PM me if you want exact dates lol maybe it was you I saw but I am sure there were only two in the car

Hi and Thanks For The Lovely Pictures

Hi Excuse my ingnorance here I sorts new too What is HDR? i really liked the Pics Thanks so much Rose:p

I will try not to bore those that know but basically you take 3-7 photos of the same object at different exposure values then you can combine them using something like photomatix and it takes the highlights and shadows of each to create an image. High end compacts and most new DSLR's support exposure bracketing which is the easiest way to take the required pics:

and you get this

Obviously you can tinker with the exact results but that HDR and it stands for High Dynamic Range.

You will need - DSLR/High end compact that supports Exposure Bracketing, tripod, photomatix pro software (My preference but adobe cs3 & 4 I think do it too) and a remote shutter release is handy. If you want to know more feel free to PM me
