Pripyat

I apologise if this has been asked a thousand times already, but...

My brother is hoping to visit Pripyat/Chernobyl later in the summer, and he asked me three questions:

a) is there anything else in Kiev (or even Ukraine) that is a must see?
b) are there any recommended/avoided tour guides for visiting Pripyat/Chernobyl
c) Is it essential that you speak some Russian, or does English suffice?

My brother isn't really an urbexer, but more of a dark tourist, but I promised that I'd ask his questions since I've been on here a while.

1) yes loads, too much to list
2) Lupine and SoloEast are reputable
3) no, not at all. Hand gestures will get you anything.
