Hi All

Myself and Fluffy (AKA Cockney boy) have been out and about again.
We went up to the former RAF Chipping Norton, there is not much left as the control tower and other building have been demolished over the last few years but there are some things to see.

RAF Chipping Norton was a flying training unit which was part of 23Grp with 1391 staff on site.

First off are the light/small arms firing butts.

There are a few Stanton shelters dotted around the site this one with the escape latter still intact.

Note the concrete roof over the entrance way

Also on site is this MT shed.

WW2 pictures

Hi Mate

would love to see some pictures from the days when it was in operation.
Could you post a few up here.

Cheers Newage

These are all I can find at the moment, taken in December 1940. Apologies that there are no pics of buildings, planes etc. The men in the picture were actually based at RAF Little Rissington.
