This place is quite big and still a lot remains. It's split into two areas one part that incluides the main buildings is a live Army Camp which is off limits alltought a soldier gave me a brief tour of the outside budilings. There is a ammo store which is high security and a radar section for Stansted. The runway and the rest is fine to exlpore. Lots of buildiongs and pill boxes in good nick

thanks for the post, been past Debden loads of times as its pretty local to me but didn't realise how much ww2 stuff was left there - very interesting for a station with so much Battle of Britian history

Wow I think that's the most complete set of Turnbull mounts I've seen anywhere, that's quite an important find spitfire, well done!

Your not the only one NC, Spitfire that is some serious pillbox porn, those Turnbull mounts are really special. Great find
