RAF Rednal was an Operational Training Unit, active from 1942 until 1945.

This site is huge, with buildings spread over a couple of square miles.

The majority of the buildings are now in use as industrial units or in agriculture.

However, the Control Tower is now used for paint balling

That's an interesting one. Looks like most of the original buildings have survived. The embrasures in the pillbox; have they been bricked in since being out of use, or were they like that originally do you know? One looks as if there's a glass window in.
Good report. Enjoyed that. :)

i live 2 miles from here. a couple of years ago dereck accorah came with his ghost towns team and went into the control tower at night, there have been numerous reports of a malevolent spirit who pushes people around in there. the ghost is said to be a bryn williams who was an raf bloke during war.
