OK,part 2 of my visit to Selby today, a few hundred yards along from the wood mill, there is a disused linseed and rapeseed oil refinery. Unfortunately I was running out of time, and this one was a little harder to crack, so I have posted some of the shots I could get but there is a huge amount more to see, some of which seems pretty well locked down:
On the way is the now shortened service bridge between the two sites spanning the Doncaster-Hull railway lines:
The approach to the refinery:
Door:
Framework:
One of the main buildings:
Lovely green double doors:
Bridge of sighs
Inside one of the main buildings, taken through a handily smashed window, on a handily placed gantry:
Fuel tank:
Fire hose, quite suprised to find this still all wound up neatly:
Red box:
Certainly intend to get back here at some point, as all 4 main buildings were fascinating.
Thanks for looking
