A public telephone kiosk designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. these are a familiar sight on the streets of the United Kingdom, and despite a reduction in their numbers in recent years, red boxes can still be seen in many places including this one... High on the hills in Lancashire.

Completely disconnected from the telecoms network it stands overlooking Lancashire.

No internal shots, as security is tight. Glancing through windows shows the telecoms device from inside this is removed.

superb, i wish i had been able to get such great shots too, such a surprise to find this jewel hidden away so far in the hills :)

Great shots. I think the photographic qualuty of these shots are absolutely brilliant.

Stellar report fieldy! It's actually a lot more interesting than much of the stuff I've seen on here in weeks.

Thankls for sharing this! It really helps us mere mortals, who cannot infiltrate such tightly secured and remote buildings :)

These things are ridiculously easy to penetrate if you are careful. Which rather explains the pikeyfication of said telecommunication apparatus, I suspect. ;)

that makes a refreshing change, the shots are spot on

any chance of access details !! the fence looks high and the door looks locked!! whats your secret lol
