I just took a couple of pics of this fw3/22 pillbox as I was out walking. Nothing special but I know a couple of people on here like pillboxes.
Heres what is said about it on http://www.pillboxesuk.co.uk/

Type 22 brick pillbox with concrete roof. Some of the outer brickwork has come away to reveal a concrete filling in the cavity between layers. The inner shelving has been removed. Current use seems to be as a children's den.
Brick and concrete pillbox, sunk somewhat into ground. Entrance 4ft high, 2ft wide, 6ins concrete lintel. Height of walls 6ft. Roof 12ins thick. Each side approx. 7ft 6ins. Embrasures each side of entrance, 7ins wide x 15ins (approx.) high. Main embrasures 23ins wide overall, 16ins at centre. Height of embrasures, 15ins, depth, 16ins. Central brick support pillar, 18ins square (approx.). Concrete lintels over embrasures.

I would have loved something like that when I was a kid, even now I would love something like that but perhaps not for the same reason

Nice one! :D
I used to play in and around old bunkers, derelict mills and farmhouses when I was a kid...I guess that's where I got my 'urbex education'.

oooooooh I'd love that in my garden. Looks a little wet lmao. Are there anymore around your way? That looks great, is a shame the rubbish is in there, and a few tags in there, but other than that, looks good.

Cheers,

:) Sal
