Had a look at this one today in the snow, but unfortunately it has been locked with new padlocks.. Interesting that the telegraph poles to the post still remain

Thanks for posting - in most cases it would cost too much to remove the poles and as they were all wired through private circuits, they wernt something that could really be used again. They will have just disconnected it at the nearest BT roadside box. There are 'some' posts which still have the teletalks in that are still connected to the phone lines, which are live!

Good pics. This is my local one. Has it definitely been padlocked up as before when I went you couldn't lock it as the welds were broken. So the padlocks look like there on but in fact not.

From what I remember there was a 3rd small new padlock that had been recently added so I couldn't open
