ROF Elstow Pillbox

This one was one of two buildings left standing on the site now (i wonder how much longer it will last) and as can be seen its pretty much gutted inside and not much to see. I shall post a seperate report on whats left on the site later tonight, i was able to wander around with little interuption today.

This was full of water and fairly deep so i wonder if it was linked to the tunnels on this site:

I did wonder but it was in roughly the right place looking on google earth (i dont have a GPS) so that means the bunker i was looking for has been demolished.

Or it could mean it was miss identified first time around Happened to me a few times

Id say if this isnt a bunker then the origional has now been demolished.

There was a Type 22 by the entrance which is visible in Google earth prior to 2009. It was demolished sometime after June 2009.
