i treated myself to a new camera over the xmas period and was wanting to try it .
Just up the road from me is a park called Rookery Park which has in it a very old building that has been empty since 2007 when Birmingham City Council stopped using it, as it was basically falling apart from lack of maintainance, since then its been boarded up tight although the caretaker lives on site, and came out to see what I was up to, so I asked if I could get inside but there was no way he was willing to let me in to, take some internal pictures. so its exterior shots only
theres a local history website with the history of the house on so wont bore you all by repeating it but the link is http://www.rookery-house.co.uk/history.htm
anyway on with the pictures
the driveway up to the house
the gardens that need some attention
the top of the chimney looks rather plain considering the age of the building
