After a late night text from a fellow Urbex'er (C2raig) he mentioned a trip to Seaton Delaval Mausoleum, well there's an opportunity that I don't intend to miss out on so we planned it for the next day.
Thankfully the weather gave us a break in the rain so off we headed. The place itself is pretty well hidden, away from the road and in among the trees. Vandals have hit it pretty hard with all sorts of graffiti on the walls and scratched into the stone.
Presently there is no roof but in its time with a glass leaded dome I bet it looked amazing.
We had been told that the crypt below had never been used however that didn't stop us from wanting to look. More graffiti, a mass of wood (no idea why) and the odd pentagram (which can sort of put you off, especially when C2raig managed to get some photos of some orbs) We assume that you get the usual devil worshippers down there carrying out all sorts of different rituals.
On the way back we had a look at the few other places for the future, we also stopped at the Tyne Yard Control Tower, somewhere I am literally busting to have a look in. Sadly when we got there access was interesting to say the least but we think we may have cracked it for next time. I thought the train graveyard I had seen written about was at the same place but this doesn't seem to be the case so I am trying to find out where that is. Still managed to get some photos of the coal wagons that are there.
Anyway here are the pictures
