Signal box, Murthly, Scotland march '09

Came across this old signal box on the back roads of Perth. There are a lot of houses nearby and a live track so I didn't risk trying to get in.​

Didn't realise old signal boxes contained automatic switching. Useful info, Pin.
Delightful find though, nonetheless. Love the 'gingerbread house' trim and faded white-wash look.

Thats a lovely Signal Box there. Those decorative Finials and Bargeboards are lovely. Getting in a Signal Box is one of my ambitions. Obviously a disused one. You were right not to try and get inside one near a live track.

This is next to the entrance of where Murthly Asylum used to be. Nice area and this adds to it despite being boarded up.

Now that's what I call a signal box with style!

Shame the stairs have been taken away. Wonder if any of the signal levers are inside?
