Hi All
Day 2 and bunker 2
This is the Simserhof bunker complex, this was a 3 1/2 hour visit and we only saw 2 blocks, the personnel entry and the munitions entry, just so you know
there are another 8 surface combat blocks all linked from the underground tunnels, the place if metric f*****g huge.

This bunker is older than the others we had seen so far as it it was built between 1929 and 1938 and built in stages as more money became available.
Again its deep around 100ft, fitted out with lifts, magazines, kitchens, fighting turrets in the combat blocks, mess rooms, power plan etc, the magazines are
so large they have a DC system electric rail system linking all the magazines.

Pictures time.....................

The top personnel entry block house was the way in for us.

The munitions entry and this was our exit over 3 hours later.

Wow o_O you do get in some interesting places, so was this a guided tour because the lights were on and no doubt some one must have noticed the filtration system running if it is that noisy. Amazing condition considering how old it is
Looks like it was a guided after reading back

Yes this was a "guided" tour, but the guy doing the tour was very chilled out, we just hung around at the back so had free rain with the camera.

Awesome. Very interesting, everything seems to be well preserved.
