Site Y - The Final Edition

Back in May 2012, I reported on "[ame="http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=22153"]Site Y[/ame]", a derelict hospital in South Wales. It wasn't a very big or exciting hospital but it wasn't done before to my knowledge which made it one of the better explores I have done.

Here is Ystrad Mynach Hospital, AKA "Site Y" during it's final phase of demolition...

Bigger shame is that was there for less than 20 years.:(
Again thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments guys! :) I don't quite understand why they are knocking it down really, sure they built a new super hospital over the road but the NHS are still complaining of lack of beds...really confuses me!

Cheers dude! I'm shocked by it, after I posted my first report up, local media ran a story about it in the paper and also talking about the amount of metal theft that was going on. It seems plaques like this mean nothing when the place is being demolished :(

Like Krela says, it's a file storage unit, turning each wheel will open up that section - really good fun but bloody noisy!

Back in May there were a couple of records left there but those have now gone :(
