St Anne's Hospital in Bowdon, which closed in January 2005, was once the world's leading centre for TB research. It dates back to the 1800s and over the years changed from caring for people with TB to later becoming an ear nose and throat hospital and finaly caring for patients who where senile.

Visited with Jaff Fox and Romanian1, nice one for the tour R1:mrgreen: not a huge place but filled with character and some impressive exteriors and a rather funky green tiled operating theatre.

Re: St. Annes Hospital - Report

Great report Havoc, Jaff said he found it more interesting than he thought it would be. Looks pretty interesting from your photos!

A real old gem you found there guys,love the mosaic floor tiles and the old fireplace,as you say a place with character.

nice work:exclaim::)

Nice one HHH, I thoroughly enjoyed the R1 tour round here last year. There's loads of little bits and pieces and details to mooch around. Cool stuff.

TnM :)

Bloody great shots as always! This place looks lie a time warp. The "deceased" written across the personal details is pretty grim. Not really thought about howthrow away that bit of death is before!!:mad:

Great pics havoc, the colours are fantastic, like the toilet although I wouldn't use it, looks like it would come alive and flush me away:):icon_evil
