Starting out as St edmunds workhouse in 1836 for people who cound not support themselfs it offered a place to stay and work (maybe in the current times it should be reopened).
In the thirties it was taken over by northampton council and re named St edmunds hospital until its closure in 1998, it is being (very slowly) redeveloped i explored this place with my brother who found my entrance to be very funny (we cant all be 6ft 2" and skinny) the pigeons have been busy here, overall good explore hope you like my post.
