There is something quite interesting about derelict Mid Century Schools. Maybe its because I attended one (though not a Catholic one), and often thought about how brutal and oppressive the masses of concrete and angular corridors were.

This was actually quite a posh Secondary School by the look of it; and was in fairly good nick; considering it has only closed about 8 months before. It was actually quite interesting to note that two years ago; us explorers were stumbling across derps with covid stuff left behind; but in the case of this school, we were presented with leftovers of memorials to Queen Elisabeth the 2nd!

The school had a fair bit of damage, owing to its location; including evidence of the local shitheads smashing equipment on the Science Lab floors and general other fuckery.

There were also quite a few fridges chocked full of food; some on and some off, and these smelt absolutely revolting. This was the second attempt at this place; it was looking grim this time as we were doing everything we could to find a less obvious way in; but in the end we went for the bait access and got lucky!

St. John Fisher Catholic Comprehensive School was established in 1964. St. John Fisher is a unique school in Medway; as it is the only Catholic secondary school within the Local Authority. In February 2022 the school moved into a brand-new £40m single site building in Rochester.

This history was taken from the schools website. I’m not sure if they gradually moved to the new school, as the old one 100% closed in 2023, or if its a typo.
