took a trip down here the other day to see what it was like, and by jeez its heart-breaking to see the sheer amount of devastation caused to such a stunning place in only a few years :( this place has been vandalised so much its barely worth shooting inside, however the place is still absolutely breath-taking from the external, and grounds still seem really well kempt, wasn't the best explore but nevertheless I wasn't disappointed :) Enjoy:

such a sorry state. i have kept away from this place as it is where i was born, gives a strange feeling driveing past most days and have something keeping me away.thanks for the report.

Cracking images of the former workhouse mate ;)
It was built because the capacity of the local Deanhouse workhouse was inadequate. I love the gothic style of the building, and of course it was designed by that great architect John Kirk :) It's sad that It's not listed, and I fear the worst for the old girl now :(
