Hi all, been an awful long time since I’ve posted so I thought I’d start with a nice easy explore as I’ve not been well for the last few years. St Margaret’s is a Norman Church under the Churches Conservation Trust and therefore officially redundant. I won’t waffle on too much, so here’s the pics …….

Nice pics.

The grass near the entrance looks trimmed, the inside though dusty seems to be well kept, and the footpath suggests frequent visitors. Is the place still maintained?

Sweet, a Norman arch and what looks like a Saxon Round tower and wall paintings to boot Beautiful. I would love to visit that one for the Church Explorer if it was not over the other side of the country.
PS as far as I know they do have a service in the the churches once or twice a year

How common are such round towers attached to churches? This is the first I have ever seen photos of; nor have I seen such a church 'in the stone'.

Ah ok I stand corrected

Lovely little church and another fantastic Norman doorway. The simple ones are often the most delightful I reckon. Sorry to hear you haven't been well, Shucky. Hope you're much better now.
